Establishing the Artificial Intelligence centre comes in line with the Saudi Vision 2030

Riyadh –  King Salman issued a decree on Friday to establish an artificial intelligence (AI) centre under the name of “National Center for Artificial Intelligence”, Saudi News Agency (SPA) reported.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Al Sawaha, said that the kingdom will also establish an office under the name “The National Data Management Office”.

Both entities will be linked organizationally with the “Saudi Commission for Data and Artificial Intelligence”.

Establishing the AI centre comes in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, and it will develop the country’s performance efficiency through the applications of AI and big data.

Al Sawaha pointed out that launching the centre a clear indication of the Kingdom’s determination to develop its digital capabilities and build a future based on AI and innovation.

He added that that AI would enhance productivity, boost decision-making processes across all sectors, render services provided to Saudi citizens more innovative, and open new horizons to stimulate entrepreneurship and support young people.
