Pulseway adds 3rd Party Patch Management module to its platform
Pulseway, a leading provider of mobile-first, cloud-first remote monitoring and management (RMM) software, announced the addition of the company’s 3rd Party Patch Management module to the Pulseway platform.
Built and maintained in-house, this new module is designed to keep software up-to-date by patching external software and plugging potential vulnerabilities. The new 3rd Party Patch Management blends with the existing OS patch management module to create a simple, easy to use patching experience that ensures all systems are secure in real-time.
Mozilla Firefox, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Java Runtime Environment and other commonly used software have become staples in the workforce and notoriously difficult to patch in a regular cadence.
With Pulseway’s 3rd Party Patch Management module, businesses can ensure applications are up-to-date and easily remove problematic software by simply selecting the software on a user friendly interface and clicking the remove button. Additionally, to lessen the burden on the staff, patching and software management can all be automated and scheduled to run on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
“Patch management ought to be simple, but the unfortunate reality is that system and application updates are far too often neglected for fear of downtime and end user pushback,” said Marius Mihalec, Founder & CEO of Pulseway.
“With the launch of the Pulseway 3rd Party Patch Management Module, we aim to remove any and all points of friction to simplify software patch management. With the advent of shadow IT and adoption of SaaS and PaaS, the need for continuous security with the latest patches is critical to an organization’s overall security posture.”
This update further proves Pulseway’s position as a top network infrastructure management service and gives organizations a simplified way to gain visibility and easy to execute actions into patch management, freeing valuable IT resources to spend more time and money on proactive initiatives to drive the organization forward.
